The Seaward Primetest 250 is an easy to use handheld, battery-operated PAT tester. A range of tests for Class I and Class II appliances and extension leads can be selected with a single button press. Tests are carried out against pre-set limits, with the measured values and a clear PASS/FAIL indication shown on the large display.

When connected to a mains supply, the tester can also measure protective conductor current (earth leakage) or touch current. If you’re unsure when to use substitute leakage versus a mains-voltage leakage test, see our leakage current testing guide.

RCD trip times can be measured to meet the requirements of the IET Code of Practice. Earth continuity and earth leakage current on 3-phase equipment can also be measured via an optional 3-phase adaptor.
