Portable Appliance Test Engineer - London SE4

We don’t require our PAT engineers to be experienced, we will supply all the training you need. We will provide you with a company vehicle which can be used for personal use and all the equipment that you need

This isn’t a standard 9-5 role. You may be required to work evenings and weekends at times. When we’re especially busy, we may need to put you up in a hotel so testing can be completed for our clients a little further afield. You may be testing electrical devices in difficult to reach areas and spending a lot of the day active.

The ideal candidate for a PAT Engineer at phs will have:

Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 6 points.

Tasks

· Conduct PAT inspections and tests in line with the issued schedule and procedure

· Test electrical appliances to ensure they meet safety standards.

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters

As a PAT Tester Volunteer in our Wisbech Sue Ryder Charity shop, you will be one of the store’s valuable volunteers who will help us to PAT Test electrical items whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.

The Role – PAT Tester Volunteer
Undertake relevant training (written exam, training provided).
Receive & organise electrical, donations for PAT Testing.
PAT Testing appliances.
Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock.
General volunteering duties to help in the shop

Kent PAT Testing Ltd are looking for a self employed PAT engineer for an immediate start.

We are a family-run business that prides itself on providing outstanding customer service and minimal business disruption.

Own vehicle is necessary however all tools including machine can be provided.

What you'll be doing:

*PAT testing client’s equipment (ranging from 110v site tools, computer equipment, DJ equipment, kitchen appliances and more)

*Travelling throughout Kent and the southeast.

*Admin duties including listing of appliances tested on the handheld testing machine, downloading daily and emailing to HQ

Days of Work: Mon-Fri with staggered start times. Occasional evening and weekend work availab

OTE 30k

Applicants must have:

Electrical Knowledge

Own vehicle insured for business use

Public liability insurance

Clear DBS basic check

Applicants with City and Guilds 2377 will be given priority
