We require a trainee to join our team on a permanent basis. Initially paired with an experienced PAT engineer, you will learn on the job while progressing towards completing your City & Guilds 2377 PAT qualification, which you will be expected to complete before the end of your probationary period.

Once qualified, you will be expected to undertake PAT testing jobs with minimal supervision at our customer's premises. Customer service skills and being comfortable dealing with clients is essential for this role as well as being self-motivated due to the nature of the services being carried out.

On the job & formal training will be provided in our further service offering; emergency lighting & fire alarm servicing as well as providing assistance to electricians for EICR & installation works once safe isolation training has taken place.

The candidate does not need to have previous electrical experience as all training will be provided & we will consider applications from a range of backgrounds. QA or customer service experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Candidates must have a full driving license with a maximum of 3 points, be able to pass an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check. A level of flexibility is required as some testing needs to take place out of hours, primarily Saturdays but occasional night shifts & Sundays. A shift premium will paid for night & Sunday work.

A level of computer literacy is required for submission of test results via tablet & accessing job cards via email.

Part-time, job-share or flexible hours (for example around school hours) would be considered for the right applicants.
