YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out repairs, refurbishment and PAT testing of electrical items across West Yorkshire Community Support Projects
Ensure work is carried out to enhance value of items tested where it is possible to do so.
Follow correct testing processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and SVP policies and procedures.
Delivery of training both internally and externally as an opportunity to develop income and improve skills.
Ensure correct disposal of failed electrical items to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Contribute to maintaining effective contacts, agents and partnerships in line with the WYCSP strategy and to support and enhance the business and functions.
Maintain liaison and communication with Depot Management and Administration functions to ensure stock movements are effective and efficiently managed and compliant across WYCSP’s.
Support with customer queries/complaints direct or via the Administration office, to ensure a satisfactory resolution for customers or beneficiaries.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL NEED:

PAT Testing Qualification
Experience of Electrical Refurbishment Operations
Proven track record in servicing and fixing electrical appliances to a high quality standard
Good product knowledge in a refurbishment environment
IT literate with good competence in the use of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of Electrical Safety Regulations and associated legislation
It is desirable that the candidate can demonstrate the following –
C&G or higher-level qualification in electrical equipment testing
Advanced knowledge of legislation, H&S and procedures within the sector
Strong commercial awareness of the reuse network
