Training for the above services would be carried out over 3 days where you would come and stay in Swindon near our Head Office. You would then spend the remainder of the 2 week training period working with our existing staff so you can get some hands on experience. We will then have a technician come and work with you for a 3rd week allowing you to get to grips with the job on the road. If you already hold the City and Guilds qualification the training will be shortened to include the equipment you would use and some customer service training.

You will work remotely coming to Swindon once per month for a team meeting and restock for the next month. All equipment, tools and uniform are provided including a company car. You will carry out portable appliance testing at our customers that will be booked in advance and as such we are looking for a technician who has a good level of customer service, who is polite, friendly and above all someone who understands communication is vital.

Remuneration is for the training period at national minimum wage, on completion of training and once working independently this will increase to £7.69 per hour, upon review you could receive additional increases adding up to £8.50 per hour. Staff are paid monthly, for all the hours worked in the month they are paid on the 5th of the following month. We have a staff pension scheme which comes into effect on the 1st July 2017. The role

You'll be carrying out the testing and inspection of portable appliances within commercial premises in a wide variety of sector such as Retail, Banking, Care homes, Hospitals and other commercial properties in accordance with the "Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of Electrical Equipment". You'll be required to follow up your paperwork and organise with clients when is best for you to come to the premises.

* C&G 2377 PAT Testing qualification
* A full driving license
* Commercial experience of testing portable appliances
* A positive attitude towards work and the ability to manage your own workload
