How many hours will I work?

Ideally we are looking for volunteers who can commit to 4 hours per week and are willing to travel amongst our shops.

These items will be sold in our shops and make money for Forget Me Not.

All our volunteers are encouraged to attend training and volunteer meetings whenever possible.

As a volunteer you will be a representative of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. As such we expect you to be well presented, polite and to give a positive message about the work of the charity.

PAT Tester - Burton-On-Trent

Details: Our client is an established provider of engineering services to the construction and manufacturing sectors

Due to continuing growth they are looking for a Portable Appliance Test Engineer to represent their company professionally, safely and exceed in customer care and service.

The role will involve carrying out testing and inspection of portable appliances on projects in diverse environments including Commercial, Industrial and Critical Environment sectors with blue chip clients around the UK.

The successful applicant will be able to work to agreed multi-site schedule deadlines, be committed to delivering quality, undertake remedial/minor repairs, and have a proven track record in carrying out PAT testing to IEE guidelines

The role will involve travel to different sites when required

Applicants will preferably have experience of working in a similar role and must have City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent. It is also preferable that candidates have an ECS card and are capable of handling high volume PAT Testing

In return our client is offering a competitive basic salary plus Selected Item Rate and overtime with an OTE of around £24,000 per annum. In addition there is access to the company pension scheme, a daily allowance when travelling away from home, and a van with fuel card.

Pat Tester - Oxfordshire

Details: PAT Tester required for our client, a large nationwide provider of building services. The PAT Tester will be required to carry out portable appliance testing, in a number of commercial buildings in Oxfordshire, specifically areas within an OX postcode, although some further travel may be required.

The PAT Testing Engineer will ideally have previous experience carrying out portable appliance testing and holding their City and Guilds 2377 qualification would be advantageous, although not essential as the client are willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Experienced or Trainee PAT Tester - Ely

Details: Fixed term contract for 18 months

Our clients based in Ely are recruiting for a PAT testing position to provide asset registry services and assist with general goods in and stores duties.

If you are interested in completing a 2 day City & Guilds course within PAT Testing to become a qualified PAT Tester this will be considered by the employer.

PAT Tester (Contract) - Manchester

PAT Engineer - Southampton

Details: OTE in the regionof £21K (dependant on qualifications and experience)

MITIE are currently looking for an experienced Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) to join our dynamic team of electrical testing engineers.

You will perform electrical testing and inspection of portable appliances at a variety of client sites around the Southampton area. You will need to ensure all work is carried out efficiently and to the MES standard whilst also being responsible for building relationships with your clients and providing excellent customer service at all times.

All equipment plus a van and mobile phone will be provided to you to complete the role as required.

The successful candidate:

Must hold City & Guilds 2377 in portable appliance testing
Track record of Portable Appliance Testing & demonstrate working knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills
An ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to demonstrate how to manage workload planning in an effective manner to maximise the number of jobs per day.
Good interpersonal skills
PC Literate
Strong customer/ client focused attitude
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Show a keen eye for attention to detail
Must have a valid UK driving license
